Neymar: At PSG there are players who don't understand Messi

The renewal of Kylian Mbappe has not put out all the fires raging at Paris Saint-Germain. If anything, Neymar is the one fueling them.

The Brazilian has reiterated his intention to stay at the Parc des Princes despite rumours that he could be offloaded by the club: "Nobody has said anything to me, I want to stay at PSG".

The former Barcelona player, already in training with his national team, also took the opportunity to defend his teammate and friend Lionel Messi.

"He has been at Barcelona for many years and adapting is not easy. It's difficult to change team and city. Besides, he doesn't come alone. He is accompanied by his family", he said on Canal Futbol Club.

Messi ended the season with 11 goals (six in Ligue 1 and five in the Champions League) and 14 assists. Neymar, far from questioning Leo, understands that the system at PSG has failed him.

"There is also the style of play of the team with players who in the end don't understand the way they play. So all of that is detrimental," he said.

"Leo, Kylian and I are players who are always judged by their performance, by their stats, by their titles won, by everything."
