Is Messi playing for Inter Miami? Gonzalo Higuaín shares his thoughts

It's no secret that David Beckham dreams of having Lionel Messi play for Inter Miami in the MLS after the Argentinian decides to leave the European football clubs, but his countryman Gonzalo Higuaín isn't so sure that will happen one day.

The Major League Soccer continues to grow and more world renowned names come to play in America, as we can recently attest this summer with the signings of Gareth Bale, Giorgio Chiellini and some other stars that decided to take on the MLS as their next challenge.

Inter Miami has made their intentions of having Messi very clear

Inter Miami's Chief Business Officer, Xavier Asensi said a couple of weeks ago that the team is always looking to attract the best players in the world to play for them, and that Messi is certainly one of them.

Gonzalo Higuaín says he hasn't talked to Messi about the possibility of playing together for Inter Miami, but the Argentinian striker says that he wouldn't reject the opportunity to play with him, but feels good having played with him for over nine years in Argentina's National Team.

"He has a contract with PSG right now and I don't know if he'll eventually come play here. I had the opportunity to play with him for nine years", he told the media.

Gonzalo Higuaín doesn't know how many more years he'll play

When asked about the possibility of extending his career to be able to play alongside Messi, the Argentinian striker only replied that he'll eventually make a decision by December.

"I don't know. If it happens (Messi's signing) we'll see which decision we take. In December I will communicate my decision, but for now you'll just have to be patient."

Before Lionel Messi even starts to think about coming to the MLS, he's focused on what could be his last chance to win the World Cup with Argentina at Qatar in a couple of months.
