Ronaldo loses support in Man United dressing following Spurs incident

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly no more allies in Manchester United's dressing after refusing to come off the bench in the Red Devils' game against Tottenham on Wednesday.

The Portuguese star was punished by the club, who announced that he will be dropped from the squad to face Chelsea on Saturday.

According to The Sun, there is no teammate left to support Ronaldo at Manchester United, as many are frustrated with his attitude in the game with Spurs.

The former Real Madrid star headed into the tunnel before the game with Spurs was over, leaving the Old Trafford before the final whistle.

Cristiano to be frozen out?

After Manchester United released an official statement to inform fans that he will not feature against Chelsea, Ronaldo took to social media to address his situation without publicly apologising for his actions.

"As I've always done throughout my career, I try to live and play respectfully towards my colleagues, my adversaries and my coaches. That hasn't changed," Ronaldo wrote on Instagram.

"I haven't changed. I'm the same person and the same professional that I've been for the last 20 years playing elite football, and respect has always played a very important role in my decision making process.

"I started very young, the older and most experienced players examples were always very important to me. Therefore, later on, I've always tried to set the example myself for the youngsters that grew in all the teams that I've represented.

"Unfortunately that's not always possible and sometimes the heat of the moment get's the best of us."
