Tata Martino's friends and family slam Mexico: They think they are better than they are

Gerardo Tata Martino is currently focused on helping the Mexico perform well at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. After the draw against Poland, La Tri will have a lot to play for in a difficult match against Argentina, who are in dire need of a win.

However, despite the fact that they have not had a bad start in Qatar so far, Tata's style of coaching has always been questioned in Mexico, especially since the crisis in 2020.

It all stems from losing two consecutive finals against the USMNT in 2021 in the CONCACAF Nations League and the Gold Cup, something that Mexico's fans has neither forgiven nor forgotten.

Tata's close circle does not seem to understand the many attacks on the Argentine. TUDN has contacted people close to the coach to get their opinion and the answers will not sit well with Mexicans.

"He was attacked very unfairly. Too much," TUDN say his close family and friends responded.

"Besides, I have lived within the Mexican soccer society and they think they are in their prime years. Long before Tata took over, Canada and the United States had surpassed them.

"They think they have much more than they really have."
