Justin Jefferson is officially better than Randy Moss after Vikings win vs. Giants

The Minnesota Vikings (12-3) scraped out a win over the New York Giants (8-6-1) Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium as wide receiver Justin Jefferson set a new franchise record for most receiving yards in a season, previously held by Randy Moss.

Jefferson, 23, caught a 25-yard pass in the first quarter to break the record, set in 2003 by Moss, 45, who tallied 1,632 receiving yards in 16 games that year.

With two games left to play this season, Jefferson has a chance to break the NFL record for most receiving yards in a single season, set by Calvin Johnson (1,964) in 16 outings in 2012.

Vikings beat Giants with a walkoff field goal, moving to an 11-0 record in games decided by single digits.

Jefferson finished the contest with 133 receiving yards and a touchdown on 12 catches. He now has 1,756 receiving yards in the 2022 NFL season.

Kirk Cousins delivers against Giants

Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns on 34-for-48 completed passes against zero interceptions.

Tight end TJ Hockenson was on the receiving end of two TD passes from Cousins.

Hockenson, 25, finished the match with 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 13 catches.

Vikings remain in first place of the NFC North ahead of their New Year's Day game against the Green Bay Packers.
