Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermall Charlo in September on new $100M promotion deal per report

Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo seems to be the first event that Al Haymon will feature the WBA, WBC, IBG, and WBO super middleweight champion defending his title.

Canelo Alvarez is said to be looking for September 16th as the date for his fight against Charlo who according to information from Talk Sport, has not had a fight in two years.

Jermall Charlo reportedly has not had a fight in 2 years

Alvarez secure his free agency back in 2020 and has not committed to a long-standing contract that is more than a couple of fights that was how he parted ways with Eddie Hearn's promotion which came as a surprise for him after according to what Canelo had said, the fighter was happy with the way things were working out, however, he wanted to explore new ways.

At this point, Al Haymon's PBC roster has a line of fighters that would love to get on the mat with the Mexican sensation who is yet to have his K.O. finish. Maybe this could be the one.

The next man after Charlo could be the super-middleweight world champion David Benavidez, who at this point has had a very good streak so far.

Then there is David Morell, who at 9-0, 8 KOs will probably raise his hand for a shot at the belt, and speculations at this time continue, however, there are also some names out there like Errol Spence, and Terrence Crawford, just to start the list.
