Cowboys QB Dak Prescott roots for Houston Astros in Texan ALCS battle
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott took advantage of his tem's Bye Week to attend Globe Life Field on Friday for Game 5 of the ALCS between the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros in the 2023 MLB Playoffs.
Prescott, 30, was wearing a white Rangers jersey with his last name on the back, a blue Dallas hat and carried a red Texas towel. He received a roaring ovation from the crowd when shown on the jumbotron.
Fans on social media were quick to point out how Rangers were ahead on the scoreboard when the stadium showed Prescott.
Rangers went on to lose 5-4 and are now trailing 3-2 in the series ahead of Game 6 on Sunday at Houston.
George W. Bush in attendance
Former POTUS George W. Bush, who in 1989 purchased a minority stake in the Rangers, was also in attendance and shown on the jumbotron.
Bush, 77, and his wife Laura also attended Games 3 and 4 of the ALCS earlier this week.
When asked who he was rooting for, Bush claimed to be pulling for everyone, but admitted his Rangers bias shortly after.
