Germany wins against Chile the Confederations Cup


The German national football team won the Confederations Cup for the first time.

Joachim Loew's team prevailed on Sunday in St. Petersburg in front of 57,268 spectators in the final of the Mini-World Cup against South American champions Chile 1-0 (1: 0).

Ten days after the 1-1 draw in the group match, Mönchengladbach player Lars Stindl scored the winning goal in the 20th minute in a duel between the tournament's youngest and oldest team.

Each of the 21 German players will receive from the DFB 50,000 euros.

The RB Leipzig player, Timo Werner won the Golden Boot as the best offensive player.
