Petra Vlhova beats Mikaela Shiffrin and wins Flachau slalom


For the first time in this World Cup winter Mikaela Shiffrin does not win a slalom, in Flachau the Slovak Petra Vlhova kept the upper hand by 0.15 seconds. Katharina Liensberger finished third - it is her first podium finish.

The winning streak of Mikaela Shiffrin in the Ski Slalom World Cup broke on Tuesday night. After her half-time lead at the night competition in Flachau, the American had to beat the Slovak Petra Vlhova by 0.15 seconds. In the sixth slalom of the current season, there was the first time a different winner than Shiffrin, who missed her seasonally eighth consecutive triumph. Vlhova received 70,000 euros in prize money.

Katharina Liensberger finished third, as the Swede Anna Swenn Larsson was disqualified. T
