Tom Brady vs Bill Belichick in Super Bowl LVI?

If the regular season game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New England Patriots has been the most watched game this year in the 2021 NFL season, can you imagine what it would be like to see Tom Brady's team vs Bill Belichick's team in Super Bowl LVI?

Today more than ever before that is a possibility with both teams among the best in their respective conferences.

The Buccaneers' situation

First let's talk about the defending champions, the Buccaneers struggled, but won this week 38-31 against the Indianapolis Colts thanks to four touchdowns from running back Leonard Fournette.

The team led by Bruce Arians is the clear leader of the NFC South with a record of 8-3 and currently has the third best record in the entire National Conference behind the Arizona Cardinals (9-2) and the Green Bay Packers (9-3), that is, they are only one game away from being able to host the entire playoffs at Raymond James Stadium.

The Patriots' situation

But the most curious case is that of the New England Patriots, this week they beat the Tennessee Titans by a score of 36-13 and thus tied their sixth consecutive victory to become the team with the best active streak in the entire National Football League.

With this victory, they have placed their record at 8-4 and are half a game ahead of the Buffalo Bills (7-4) in the lead of the AFC East, and in terms of the overall American Conference, they are tied with the "Music City" team in second place in the standings.

If the season were to end today, they would be half a game behind the Baltimore Ravens (8-3) to receive all the games at Gillette Stadium, since they would surpass the Titans by the tiebreaker criteria.

It is for all of the above reasons that it is not unreasonable to think of a Super Bowl between these two characters who won six Lombardi Trophies together and who, for many, are the greatest player and head coach of all time.
